Join Danny Cook for an agent’s perspective as he shares his first-hand experiences from experiencing Hurricane Matthew in hard-hit Lumberton, NC. Attending will help you understand not only how this storm affected Danny’s agency, but will also discuss the benefit of first responders in the midst of rescue operations. This class will discuss coverages, claims experiences, planning perspectives and the “what if” scenarios.

Danny began his insurance career in 1993 after receiving a B.S. in Business Administration from Pembroke State University (now known as UNC-Pembroke). He also obtained a  Masters of Science Degree in Risk Management and Insurance from Florida State University in May 2014.

 

In 1999 he started Cook Insurance Services after having worked with an independent agency that was sold to a bank.  Danny’s professional designations include:  Certified Insurance Counselor (2002), Certified Risk Manager (2007), and Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (1997).  He is a 2001 Graduate of the Insurance Executive Program from Appalachian State University. In 2002, he received the Young Agent of the Year award from the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina.  Danny’s IIANC committee involvement (either presently or in the past) includes Young Agents Committee, Eastern Agents Committee, and the Education Committee.
